UAE Company Setup

We select the structure and place of registration to suit your business. We set up the company, obtain the necessary permits and arrange residency for the owner and director, as set out in the agreed scope. We prepare and submit the documents for a corporate bank account; for an online business, we set up payment acceptance.

For an existing business, a first business venture or an online business.

Discussing a company launch: two people at a laptop in an office overlooking Dubai

Who it is for: three scenarios

For an existing business

“I already have a business. I want to open a UAE company to work with clients abroad.”“I want to move my business to the UAE. I need to understand what it takes and get the company set up.”

We take into account your existing structure, activities and payment flows. If you first need to assess whether a UAE company is justified, there is a separate analysis for that in our “Tax Optimisation” service. Setting up a new company does not in itself transfer the contracts, assets and liabilities of the existing one: we assess the scope of such changes separately.

First company

“I want to open my first company in the UAE. I do not know which option to choose or where to start. I need help from making the choice through to launch.”

We help you choose the legal form and place of registration for your activity, explain the sequence of steps and arrange the company setup.

Online business

“I sell, or plan to sell, services and products to clients in different countries. I need to take payments online – one-off or by subscription.”

We set up online payment acceptance; if you need subscriptions, we include them in the agreed scope of work. If a platform that takes payments on the seller’s behalf is enough at the start, we will tell you so.

What we do and what you receive

Dubai has more than 20 free zones with different specialisations and terms. As part of the service, we compare the suitable registration options – in a free zone or on the mainland – and explain our recommendation.

What we doWhat you receive
We agree the ownership and management structure: owners and shares, director, signing authority
What you receiveAn agreed structure: who owns the company, who manages it and who signs documents
We select the business activities, legal form and place of registration. We compare suitable free zones and mainland registration by activity, clients, payment flows, costs, office and visas
What you receiveAn agreed registration option with the reasoning behind it: company form, place of registration, business activities
We set up the company and obtain the necessary permits
What you receiveIf registration is approved – the company documents and the necessary permits
We arrange residency and Emirates IDs for the owner and director. Whether this is needed is determined by their current status; the applicants and procedures are set out in the proposal
What you receiveIf approved by the government authorities – a residence visa and Emirates ID for the agreed applicants
We register the company for corporate tax
What you receiveConfirmation of registration with the UAE tax authority
We prepare the documents, submit an application to one bank and support it through review: we help prepare answers and additional documents in response to the bank’s requests
What you receiveIf approved by the bank – an open corporate account. The decision to open the account rests with the bank
We hand over documents and access details
What you receiveThe full set of documents and access details is in your hands
For an online business, we set up and test payment acceptance within the agreed scope
What you receiveIf approved by the payment provider – a test payment has gone through and the payout has reached the account. If subscriptions are in scope, a recurring charge has been tested

What is included in your project and what we agree separately

Before work begins, the proposal sets out the services included, the deliverables, our fee and third-party costs. You know in advance what we do when setting up the company and which tasks will need to be agreed separately.

If you already have a business

Setting up a UAE company does not in itself move your existing business into it. If you need to change the ownership structure, transfer contracts or assets, or assess the tax consequences for the business and the owner, we first determine what work is required. The analysis and implementation of the changes are agreed separately – our “Tax Optimisation” service.

Bank accounts

The setup includes preparing the documents and applying to one bank. An application to each additional bank is a separate service with a separate fee. If an additional bank declines, we refund our fee for supporting the application to that bank.

Visas

Residency and Emirates IDs for the owner and director are included in the setup if they need them; the applicants and procedures are set out in the proposal. Residency for family members and employees is agreed separately – our “UAE Residency & Personal Bank Accounts” service.

After the company is set up

Bookkeeping, preparing and filing reports, tracking deadlines and regular administrative support are part of ongoing company support. You can order this work from us separately – our “Ongoing Company Support” service.

Third-party costs

In addition to our fee, there will be payments to registration authorities, banks and other organisations. The costs for your project – for example registration fees, the licence, office arrangements and visa procedures – are shown separately in the proposal. We show which payments are one-off and which will recur on renewal.

We carry out additional work only after agreeing its scope and cost with you.

Vasily and the team

We match the company to the way your business will operate

We take into account your activities, clients and payment flows, explain the choice of registration and discuss ongoing support in advance. Our experience of company registration, banking and ongoing administration comes from running our own businesses in the UAE and Europe.

We connect analysis, setup and ongoing support

If you engage us for several services, you do not have to coordinate different providers yourself.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to set up a company?

Company registration, residency, tax registration, account opening and online payment setup are separate stages – depending on the agreed scope of the project. Timelines depend on the option chosen, the readiness of documents and the decisions of the registration authority, the bank and the payment provider. The written proposal states the timelines, or how they will be determined, for the agreed stages.

Mainland or free zone: how is the place of registration chosen?

We consider what you do, where your clients are and how you plan to receive payments; for an existing business, also the current structure. We explain the proposed option and how the company will operate afterwards: bank accounts, accounting and recurring obligations. The legal form and place of registration are agreed with you before documents are submitted.

Do you guarantee that an account will be opened?

We prepare the documents, submit an application to one bank and support it through review: we help prepare answers and additional documents in response to the bank’s requests. The decision to open the account rests with the bank, so we cannot guarantee that it will be opened. An application to an additional bank is a separate service; if an additional bank declines, we refund our fee for supporting the application to that bank.

What is included in the price and what is paid for separately?

The written proposal sets out the scope of work, our fee, one-off third-party payments and the known recurring costs for the chosen option. An application to each additional bank is costed separately. Anything beyond the agreed scope is costed and agreed with you before we do it.

Do I need to travel to the UAE, and what will be required of me?

From you we need information about your business and documents, your decisions on the proposed options and your signatures. We will tell you what to prepare after the introductory call. Whether you need to travel to the UAE depends on the registration option chosen and the bank’s requirements. A residence visa and Emirates ID require procedures completed in person in the UAE.

What if I am not yet sure that I need a UAE company?

Start with a free introductory call. We will clarify what you need and identify the next step. If you need to compare the tax burden, the costs and whether a new structure makes sense, we will propose a separate analysis under our “Tax Optimisation” service. It may show that you do not need a UAE company.
